Paul's Fitness Story

In June of this year after coming home from a trip to the beaches in Barcelona I realised that my fitness regimen of mountain biking and skiing was great for cardio and legs, but not to keep my weight down and more importantly to keep weight and muscles where I wanted them to be.

I’m in my early 50’s and decided to go to GoPerformance to see about a membership and perhaps a personal trainer since I have never really done any training. I reached out to Liana because her profile said “Pain is weakness leaving the body.” I relate to that because I like to push myself. 

Liana drives me to try new things and to achieve new personal bests, but without injury or strain, and in an exciting and fun approach. I joke that I keep finding new muscles I didn’t know I had because they are sore the next day.

I stand taller, I feel better and am more confident.  I am very pleased when someone in my family or a friend says “Have you been working out?” 

I was nervous about having a personal trainer. Would I live up to their expectations, would I be able to do what they ask me, would I benefit? I can say Liana has made my experience amazing and I can’t thank her enough. Regardless of your goals or needs Liana will make you a better person and you will have fun along the way.
