Paul

Head Instructor / Sensei / Coach

I started my training career in the late 70's initially with Taekwondo. During the 80's my Martial Art portfolio began to expand when I transitioned to Goju Ryu Karate and Okinawan Kobudo. I also further expanded my portfolio when I began training Muay Thai and BJJ in the 90's. I have had the opportunity to compete in multiple disciplines such as Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Submission Wrestling, and Pankration. Some of my competitive accomplishments consist of winning the Canadian Karate championships in both forms and fighting, fighting for the Canadian Muay Thai team in Budapest, Hungary 1995, and competing at the IAMTF World Muay Thai Championships in Bangkok Thailand in 1997. I also took 3rd place at the Canadian grappling championships in 2000. My teaching experience extends to having taught both adults and children for over 29 years, and coaching competitive fighters in Muay Thai and MMA for over 15 years. I am a 6th degree black belt in Karate, a level 2 grappling instructor under Roy Harris International/ Brian Bird, and have developed the SKS

Kickboxing System. My two passions that I have developed throughout my career have been working with children, and observing the positive impact martial arts leaves on their lives, and also working with athletes and watching them progress throughout their career.
